Hello gorgeous…

This dresser was crying out for some attention. Had there not been any damage, I would have simply hemp oiled the wood to condition it. Unfortunately, it was well beyond that point.

This beautiful dresser had fabulous bones, but the top and sides had some major damage.  It needed a little pick me up, so I went digging through my paint stash to find inspiration. Aha! I knew what to do.

After I scuffed it up a little, I then painted FAT Indigo chalk paint on the main body of the dresser. I had originally thought I would paint the entire piece but I am so glad I did not. (Also, to be honest, I am slammed for time right now and this saved me a few steps, like the misery of trying to remove the old hardware. ๐Ÿ˜‰)

I love the contrast between the drawers and painted body of the dresser.

The tiger striped grain on the drawers just pops now with the indigo back ground. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

After a couple of coats of Miss Mustard Seed’s hemp oil this piece has a new life. The richness of the paint just makes my heart sing.

Check it out now.

TA-DA! I think the after is awesome. I am so happy with the end result.
